On Monday March 10, moveon.org delivered to the 15 United Nations Security
Council members anti-war comments from one million people around
the world, gathered last week in just five days.

Now, together with Archbishop Desmond Tutu
and many faith-based organizations, they are calling for a Global
Candlelight Vigil for Peace on Sunday, March 16 -- 7:00 PM.

Beginning in New Zealand, this will be a rolling wave of candlelight
gatherings that will quickly cross the globe. It's up to all of us to make
this happen, to organize a vigil in each community. Thousands of small
groups around the world will come together and stand for peace.

Ruth and I will organise a vigil in our town of Lismore. Please check
http://www.moveon.org/vigil/ and see if there is already a vigil that you
can join in your town or neighbourhood. If not, please decide on a venue
and register your vigil at this website and network it locally in every way
that you know how.

Also, please forward this idea to folks in other communities and encourage
them to participate in the Global Candlelight Vigil for Peace on Sunday at
7PM on March 16
