ESKY Magazine is an Australian music magazine. They printed a 2000 word article about the Rainforest Information Centre and the Rainforest Jukebox in their January 2001 issue.
March 2001 issue of BBC
Wildlife Magazine:
"Site of the month: Rainforest Information Centre: forests.org/ric
RIC is an Australian organisation whose mission - no small task - is to
protect the rainforests of the world. And, appropriately, this is no small
website. It is, in fact, a vast forest of a site, though happily for the
intrepid web explorer, one that's far from impenetrable, with well-marked
paths throughout. You could wander around in here all day without retracing
your steps, and you can end up in some unusual places. One such is the
Jukebox, where you can listen to a collection of music with a rainforest
message (best avoided if you don't like didgeridoos). The site's sponsors
donate enough funds to purchase two square feet of rainforest for each
visitor. On the heavier side is the 'deep ecology' section, where you could
find yourself pondering, among other things, 'The Conservation Biologist as
Zen Student'. To keep younger surfers amused, there are lots of links to
interactive conservation sites. Forget the machete - all you need to enjoy
this site is a sense of adventure."
