Drum Drum is a an explosive percussion and dance troupe based in Darwin. The members come from Papua New Guinea, Fiji, the Torres Strait and Australia. They use contemporary and traditional instruments to create a fusion of indigenous rhythms and urban sounds. Dedicated to preserving the traditional forms and artistic integrity of pacific music, these young artists perform ancient songs and dances previously unseen outside Papua New Guinea. Their drumming is spectacular with costumes and body painting evoking their traditional ritual origins.
