Santo:" Soon we were performing at all sorts of functions - at this stage for free! The first gig was the Spring Equinox Celebration with a
dance/theatre group, then the Lismore Women's Festival where we brought the house down. We did benefits everywhere, for local schools, old
people's homes, the midwive's conference, workshops and seminars.
The world needed to hear the joy and love we expressed so we decided to make the WOMANSONG album …. rehearsing for two months (twice
a week). On a friend's farm we found a huge old disused concrete Mushroom storeroom with great church-like acoustics.
With producer Mook and engineer friend Darmin, we set up a huge altar of flowers, crystals, goddess images and incense, with stereo
microphones in the centre. We gathered around it and held a ritual to invoke the muse and to send out healing vibes to the world through the
