The Whitlams are one of Australia's favourite bands. They won the group of the year at the 1998 Australian Record Industry Awards, as well as best song and best independent release for their 3rd album "Eternal Nightcap".

Their recorded output spans 4 albums since 1993 and has been described as "muscular piano-based pop with lyrics of charming cynicism". Their latest album, "Love this City" was released in Australia in November '99 and has already reached platinum status.

They have just returned from touring Canada (where Eternal Nightcap has just been released on Warner Bros) and playing shows in the USA and are now back on the road in Australia. Check the tour dates page for details.
