STOP THE WORLD BANK!  Sept 20.

Between 20,000 and 50,000 protestors are expected to greet some 20,000 delegates to the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Prague next week.

The World Bank Song was written 10 years ago by Rainforest Information Centre volunteer  John Seed  in response to the World Bank and IMF's atrocious record of funding projects that destroyed the environment and displaced literally millions of indigenous and poverty-stricken people.

Unfortunately there has been little but cosmetic changes in these institutions in the 10 years since the song was written and, in honor of the huge international protests that will accompany the World Bank's AGM in Prague (Czech Republic) on September 26, we have recorded the song.

RIC made a video clip to go with the song and this will be screened in Prague next week.
