ACTION ALERT

Boreal Footprint Project: Support Ontario's Indigenous
Communities in their Struggle to Protect Ancient Forests
Ontario Canada's Grassy Narrows First Nation is an indigenous
community that is now blockading logging roads in snowy cold
weather to protect the ancient forest lands upon which they
depend for their daily livelihoods. The community subsists by
hunting, trapping and fishing on 25,000 sq. miles of Customary
Lands in the region. The action started on December 11th with
a peaceful demonstration on highway 671, the access road to
forestry giant Abitibi Consolidated's clear-cutting operations.
The people of Grassy Narrows could really use your support!
