Violetine have just finished tracking their new album at Hothouse Studios in Melbourne with Wayne Connolly of Knievel and the Welcome Mat fame. The album is set to be mixed in the next 8 weeks and you should be hearing new tracks very soon after that. Look out for a couple of special guests who popped into the studio!!!! One of the best debut albums to come from an Australian act in recent time was "Small Speaker Joyland" from Violetine. Describing themselves as Pavement meets Fugazi meets Husker Du with the addition of hip hop influences they carve a very unique sound. Violetine have been keeping themselves busy with heaps of powerful live gigs as well as working on a follow up album. The song they contributed to the Red Hot Green Black compilation is "The Rocking Buzz".
